Shearer hopes hot Man Utd homecoming for Ronaldo

Video Safari

Former England captain Alan Shearer wouldn't be surprised if Wayne Rooney "sticks one on" his Manchester United team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo when the pair next meet.

Rooney appeared to stamp on Ricardo Carvalho in the 62nd minute and Ronaldo sprinted to Argentine referee Horacio Marcelo Elizondo to demand a red card.
Rooney pushed Ronaldo away before the referee produced a red card for the England striker.
TV pictures then appeared to show Ronaldo winking towards the Portugal bench as Rooney made his way off.
"I wouldn't be surprised if Wayne Rooney goes back to the Manchester United training ground and sticks one on Ronaldo," a disapproving Shearer told BBC1 after England had lost a penalty shoot-out 3-1 to exit the tournament.
