Real Madrid go for Arsenal pair Reyes, Cesc

Real Madrid sports chief Predrag Mijatovic is launching a fresh bid for Arsenal pair Jose Reyes and Cesc Fabregas.

Encouraged by comments from Reyes over the weekend that he wants a move to Madrid, Mijatovic is turning to the Spain international after being shutdown by Chelsea over a move for Arjen Robben.
Real coach Fabio Capello wants a player to strengthen the left-side of midfield and is keen to bring Reyes back home.
Mijatovic is confident he can strike a deal in the range of £15 million for Reyes, with the player not a first-choice for Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.
The pursuit of Cesc will be trickier for Mijatovic, despite Real president Ramon Calderon having struck personal terms with the midfielder's agent before his election win last month.
Cesc has only just signed a new long-term contract with the Gunners and insists he wants to stay at the Emirates stadium.
