Manchester United are ready to cherry-pick the best from Italy's World Cup final team - including coach Marcello Lippi - in the coming weeks.

Despite denials from Lippi and United over the Italy coach's link with Old Trafford, Gazzetta dello Sport says a deal is in place which will see the mastercoach move to the Premiership for the new season. It's believed United were eager to play down the reports so not to unsettle Italy's World Cup final preparations.
Meanwhile, with Milan facing relegation over the Calciopoli investigation, United manager Sir Alex Ferguson wants to bring midfield pair Rino Gattuso and Andrea Pirlo to the Premiership.
Both players are under long contracts at Milan, but will seek moves away should they be demoted.
