Paolo Di Canio has returned to Lazio's Formello training centre to begin working towards preseason.
Di Canio, without a contract, is training on his own this week with a view to joining Lazio's squad for the July 9 camp in Austria.
The club captain is still to hear from Lazio president Claudio Lotito about a new contract, but can count on coach Delio Rossi as an ally. Rossi is bending Lotito's ear, urging the supremo to hand Di Canio a new 12-month deal before the players assemble next week for preseason training.
