Arsenal are prepared to sell fullback Ashley Cole to Chelsea.
The Mail on Sunday says the Gunners are ready to relent and allow Cole to move across London in a £20 million deal.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is desperate to land a world class left-back before the season kicks off, but had baulked at pursuing Cole after last year's tapping up inquiry.
Arsenal intend to cash in on Cole and use the money raised to fund a bid for Tottenham midfielder Michael Carrick, who also remains a target for Manchester United.
