Totti goals stun AC Milan
Roma stunned AC Milan in last night's title showdown as coach Carlo Ancelotti admitted his team was in crisis.
Francesco Totti struck twice as Roma clinched a hard fought 2-1 victory at AC Milan on Saturday night.
The result moves the Giallorossi to within a point of leaders Internazionale and Palermo, who both play on today.
Totti's goals, which came at the beginning and near the end of the game, were enough for the Romans who put up a strong defensive display in an entertaining encounter at the San Siro.
The triumph capped up a perfect week for Luciano Spalletti's team, who last time out in Serie A overcame Fiorentina 3-1 and then won 2-1 at Triestina in the Coppa Italia on Thursday.
The defeat piles on the misery for Ancelotti's Milan, who remain 16th - 17 points off the leaders.
"We are paying the price for the fact we had to rush our preparation for the Champions League preliminary round in August, but that mustn't be an alibi. We have a serious problem getting results right now and have to get out of this situation," said Ancelotti.
"I think we used up a lot of energy trying to get back into the game after Roma's early goal and they are a side that really make you run over the 90 minutes. It had been a good Milan performance, then we lost our unity towards the end."
