Jordan slams Charlton

Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan has slammed Charlton Athletic after Iain Dowie's departure last night.
Jordan waived a £1million compensation clause payable by any club Dowie joined - after claiming the 41-year-old told him he wanted to move up north for personal reasons.
Outraged Jordan hired a man to issue Dowie with a writ when he was unveiled at a press conference as Charlton chief.
Dowie denied Jordan's claims - and the Addicks promised him full backing for a court case expected next summer.
Jordan said last night he had no sympathy for Dowie - but still claimed Charlton should have kept him.
He added: "I think Charlton haven't really given him a chance. Gutless, faceless people take those decisions, don't they?"
