Mourinho never expect to play Hilario
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho admits he never expected to field goalkeeper Hilario.
The Portuguese will make his debut in tonight's massive clash with Barcelona and Mourinho said: "He's no kid, he's 30 years old, he's played in the Portuguese first division and the odd Champions League game.
"He's calm and he's been busy doing his homework preparing, as keepers do, looking at Barcelona games on DVDs.
"He came here knowing he was going to be third choice and normally third choices don't play.
"If you asked me the third-choice goalkeeper of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United or Arsenal, I wouldn't be able to tell you. They are normally anonymous.
"Now he is going to get a great chance to play against the champions of Europe but he will go into that game with a mix of emotions.
"He's excited but he will be sad because of the way his great friend got hurt."
Skipper John Terry is backing Hilario to shine. He added: "He's a very good keeper, he's been waiting for his chance and now he's getting it.
"He's behind two of the best goalkeepers in the world but he's certainly got the ability, he's very agile and a great shot-stopper. We've been very impressed with him."
