Gascoigne back Beckham recall
Paul Gascoigne has backed calls for Real Madrid midfielder David Beckham to be recalled by England after Saturday's poor 0-0 draw with Macedonia.
Three Lions legend Gazza reckons the Real Madrid man's experience would be a huge help in Croatia on Wednesday.
Gazza, 39, said: "I'm good friends with David and I don't know if it has affected the players. I'd like to see him back.
"Croatia are better than Macedonia so it could be a problem. It's going to be an unbelievable test."
He added: "If we want to win trophies we've got to beat teams like Macedonia. You've got to be upset. We created chances but didn't convert them. They stopped us playing and deserved their draw."
