Beckham must drop earnings
David Beckham must expect a drop in earnings if he is to sign a new contract with Real Madrid.
Real president Ramon Calderon has declared he expects Becks to sign a new deal, with club sources adamant they won't allow the midfielder to leave during the January market.
However, if Beckham is to play on in Madrid next season, the former Manchester United ace must accept a cut in his club earnings.
Real will seek to tie Beckham to a new contract worth less than his current deal and also will attempt a greater share of image rights - which are currently split 50-50.
