Pardew blast Tevez
West Ham United boss Alan Pardew will discipline Carlos Tevez as the Argie stormed out of the stadium after he was substituted in their 1-0 win over Sheffield United.
Tevez had played his part and had been applauded when taken of in the second half. Yet he did not stay to see his team-mates hang on to their lead and Pardew is sure to demand an explanation on Monday.
He said: "He went straight home after the game and I am very disappointed about that. It has only happened to me once before.
"The first time was when I first arrived at West Ham and I fined the player a week's money because I think it is disrespectful to me, my staff and the players.
"I will have to listen to his excuse - I'm sure it is just disappointment but that is no good reason. We don't have that kind of discipline here."
Pardew insisted the only reason he had taken Tevez off was because he wanted taller players on the pitch after centre-back Danny Gabbidon was carried off on a stretcher with a hamstring injury.
He said: "I thought he was very good. He wasn't substituted because he was playing poorly. We brought Teddy Sheringham on just to defend set-plays."
